Hello fellow Medium readers, welcome to my profile! My name is Harry Singh Dhaliwal! (pronounced doll-lee-wall)

Bio

I was born in the armpit of California: Fresno. Boy, I’m so grateful for my family’s decision to move the heck out of there! I hail from Sacramento and Silicon Valley/San Francisco, CA. I’m twenty-eight-years-old, and I’m a first-generation Asian (Indian)-American. Well, according to Ancestry.com, I’m eighty-seven percent Punjabi and thirteen percent European; my family begs to differ, but I like to mention it for fun. :)

I went to California State University, Sacramento, CA where I majored in Business Administration, focusing on…

Oh, COVID-19, what a pest you have been thus far. You have: halted an entire year, forced society to function awkwardly, stripped people’s joy, left millions of breadwinners unemployed, and compelled hundreds of thousands to stay home worldwide! You continue to do what you love–wreck homes; which needs to end asap! 😬

Like in the movie “Bird Box”, it feels like we are living in an apocalyptic world. I would say we, as a society, have made some progress. Let’s keep it that way before we start seeing people going crazy, or worse, seeing them drop dead left and right!

”Okay, I’m bored in the house and I’m in the house bored”-Curtis Roach.

These lyrics we must have all heard sometime this year, thanks to COVID-19. Coronavirus has given these lyrics the wiggle room to become a 2020s household song! In my opinion, the song is annoying, but it’s on point with its message, like a bulls-eye about being bored and stuck at home! 😬

As humans, we are social beings, and we loathe social interaction. We can only be contained so long until we burst like an agonizing pimple on a teenager who has hit puberty. 😨

We can’t…

Every hero has an origin story

Digital marketers, man, have an exciting life from the glory days of wearing suits and ties and sipping on scotch on Madison Avenue. To wearing t-shirts and shorts and sipping on pressed juice in San Francisco/Silicon Valley, man, times have changed.

Traditional marketing, like what you see in the famous hit TV show Mad Men was the life of marketers. Sweat, blood, sales, and sipping on scotch were the fabrics of traditional marketing. Marketers back then had to understand and reach their consumers manually. Click, track, engage, and sipping on pressed juice are the…

Here’s why mom-and-pop shops should leverage digital marketing to stay afloat as the pandemic still hovers over the economy

Move over, traditional marketing — your reign is over! Although a few facets remain intact such as print material, it doesn’t have the bandwidth to reach consumers. In contrast, digital marketing allows consumers to purchase in a heartbeat. A significant highlight of digital marketing is that it’s executed electronically and online. Therefore, it makes it easier for marketers to reach consumers, whether it be through social media, PPC, search engines, video, or e-mail.

Digital marketing serves as an oxygen line for…

Imagine digital marketing as a unique tree. It’s a tree that offers its growers and consumers several fruits, so make sure to maintain it and give it time! In other words, when digital marketing is done right, the end-user should have a savory experience and acquire growth. That’s why we eat fruits, right?

Walking over 10000 steps = a healthy life, but you’ve to take small steps first, right?

Marketing, Marketing, Marketing, the three famous M’s you probably heard many times in your life. Now, what the heck is marketing or, to be exact, digital marketing?

You see, digital marketing is an exclusive divine language spoken only by Madison Avenue advertising Gods, aka Mad Men. It’s a language that is so foreign and bizarre, yet you’re left mesmerized and sold by its nectar of enticing feel-good words. Life’s too stressful, so any product or service that makes you feel good is worth your hard-earned buck, right?

There you go, that’s digital marketing for you! Are you a COVID-19 college…

3,2,1, Happy New Year! Cheers to a new decade!

Wouldn’t it have been nice if the excitement flourished throughout the entire year? 2020, what a peculiar year it was.

An unfathomable disease that has halted an entire year-sucking the joy out of wedding celebrations, high school and college graduations, tanking the global economy, compelling businesses to layoff their employees, and causing unprecedented moments of political unrest spiraling across the globe.

Let’s not forget that was an election year, which only heightened stress levels.

What a way to start the new decade! We won’t ever forget 2020.

Hmm, you might ask…
